UThe violent aggressor tried to escape the British police by hiding in a refrigerator. The case happened in December last year, but it was only released this Wednesday by the Kent Police.

Innotified, the authority explains that Dean Foord, 33 years old, was arrested after his partner denounced the physical and mental abuse of which he was targeted over six months.

” During that time, he controlled her social networks and forced her to cut off contact with her friends and family. He was only allowed to leave the house when Foord allowed it,” says the police. “On one occasion, he locked her in a room and only let her out when he barked like a dog,” is described in the note.

“She wasn’t allowed to have a cell phone, and when she did, Foord deliberately ruined it. He even forced her to sell a cell phone to pay off her drug debt,” says the police. By the way, when it came to money, Foord made it a point to spend all his partner’s pennies on “game, drugs, booze and scratch cards.”

Besides, he was also quite violent with the victim. On one occasion, he “draws her by the neck, pushes her and makes her hit her head on the floor”.

“Another time, when the victim tried to escape, he followed her to a property and threw a brick out the window, leaving the housewife to fear for her life,” he says. “He also filmed himself threatening the victim with a knife, saying he was going to kill her. Another time, he threw a bucket of dirty water at her,” they say.

When in December 2025 the police arrived to stop Foord, they came across an empty house. After the search, they found him in an unusual place: the fridge.

In a video published by the police themselves, you can see an agent opening the fridge, finding the suspect inside. “Hello, friend,” says the same agent in the video. Ford says something in answer, but words are not noticeable.

The officer then tries to remove Foord from the fridge, telling him to leave and inform him he’s being detained. That’s when the man tells the police he’s got a broken foot.

While the agent explains the crimes of which he is accused, Foord repeats several times: “Be nice”.

You can see the moment of detention below:

“Foord is a violent bully who used fear, violence and intimidation to control almost every aspect of the victim’s life,” noted the investigating agent, George Fisher. “He tried to hide from the police in a refrigerator, but there are no places he can hide. This shows that we will find all the aggressors and bring them to justice,” he asserted, also praising the “courage” of the victim by coming forward and helping condemn his aggressor.

During the arrest, authorities still found cocaine in Foord’s possession. In court, the aggressor was found guilty of “serious bodily injury, material damage, death threats, simple aggression, controlling and coercive behavior and possession of a class A drug”, cocaine.

On 30 June, British Justice sentenced him to three years in prison.
