Nintendo will close “Mario Kart” game for mobile phones

A Nintendo announced that as of September 29, the game “Mario Kart Tour” will no longer be available to mobile players. Remember that this title was released for Android and iOS devices in September 2019.

Remember that “Mario Kart Tour” is far from being the only Nintendo game released for mobile phones that is no longer available to players. Original Switch will no longer be sold in Europe

Nintendo announced in June that it intended to launch in Europe a new version of Switch 2 equipped with replaceable battery. The measure was aimed at complying with European Union standards that required manufacturers of electronic devices to provide consumers with a way to exchange this component in order to extend the longevity of it.

Though at the time have become clear that Switch 2 would be covered by this measure, the same did not happen to Switch and even stayed on the console, launched in March 2017, could no longer be sold on European territory. Well, looks like that’s what’s gonna happen.

Through a statement shared on the company’s official website, Nintendo announced that the current three console models – the original Switch, Switch Lite and Switch – OLED model – will cease to be sold on European markets as of the beginning of next year.
