Disagreement and uncertainty, between tears and few smiles, were emotions demonstrated this morning by some students in three secondary schools in Porto where they went to check the schedules with the test scores, published on Friday night.

O environment was very quiet during the morning with the secondary schools Fontes Pereira de Melo, Garcia de Orta and Clara de Resende. This last one hasn’t opened the gates all morning.
At the Fontes Pereira de Melo School, Lusa found a teacher advising two students, some of whom, with tears in their eyes, had doubts whether or not to ask for proof review.
The students did not want to make statements, but the English teacher Paula Cunha did not hide the indignation for the way the evaluation process took place.
“It is a stress for everyone, teachers, employees and, above all, for students. I do not see the interest of putting the semi-evaluated grades [suspended assessment], which makes students even more anxious. It would have been better if they had assumed that there were no conditions to publish the agendas and on Monday we would start the week with another dynamic, with another calm. This has been bad since the beginning,” he said.
Another criticism he made refers to negative classifications of “- 3” that appear on the agendas.
” I’ve been a teacher for over 30 years, There have always been zero to 20 bills. Now we also have ‘-3′, I still don’t understand what that meansBut there will be some explanation. I’m from English-German, so I’ll understand less numbers.”Ironized.
For this and many other reasons, he said, “It is necessary to draw conclusions, it is not understood because they did not analyze better the conclusions than happened last year with the proof of Philosophy.
“Of course, if the process didn’t go well with Philosophy, it would hardly go better with a megalomaniac number of tests,” he added.
The teacher stressed “the effort” of teachers throughout this process, always working “in the defense of the interests of their students”.
” Obviously, we already know that the digital area is there and will not go back, but with account, weight and measure, it is not treating teachers as employees, because teachers are the luck of all Ministers of Education, put above all students “, he considered.
And he added: ” The teachers are not concerned if the Minister of Education or the Prime Minister has other interests, I am not interested in anything. I’m an English-German teacher, and for me, my students are what moves me.”
The notes were published or communicated via email on Friday night, through the Innovative Platform, where students have their entire school process.
It was not the case of a Colombian student who proposed to the exams to be able to follow Medicine, a course she attended in her country of origin.
Next to her boyfriend, Melissa Zapata didn’t hide her tears and anxiety.
“[ The results] are not far from what I had seen in the analysis I did of the exam. We just have to wait to receive the email with the information on how each item was classified,” he said, referring to the possible decision to ask for proof review or not.
” It was certainly a very difficult process. The notes were supposed to be published on the 14th, and they were only yesterday at 10:30. I know there were schools that didn’t have lights, the students had to use their cell phone flashlight to see the schedules.“, he did.
He regretted having “less time to make the correction and to apply” to college.
To Lusa, he admitted to living a period of “immensive anxiety”.
” It was my first time taking a test outside my country and this kind of thing happens. And then they publish the notes at 10:30 at night. It’s a big mess.”He did.
Schools are receiving new files today with the note of student exams that on Friday had their rank suspended, according to the National Association of Directors of Groups and Public Schools.
According to the organization, it was “thousands” students who saw their classification of national exams with the reference “suspenduous” and schools opened today throughout the country, allowing students to consult the schedules with the grades, which had also happened on Friday until about midnight.
For the first time this year, the national secondary school examinations carried out by 166 thousand students have been corrected in digital format, but the process has experienced technical failures since the beginning, forcing the Ministry of Education to postpone the original deadlines.
