O U.S. Central Command today stated that its seventh consecutive night of attacks hit “surveillance sites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons warehouses and maritime capabilities.”

In turn, Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, told Iranian state television that “the US violated its commitments under the agreement signed about a month ago and now Iran is no longer meeting [its own commitments]”.

Today, the most significant damage occurred in Kuwait when Iran attacked a water desalination station and an oil facility, according to the Kuwaiti authorities and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.

The attacks injured several people at the oil plant and caused a fire at the desalination station, forcing several power plants to disrupt operation.

Kuwait temporarily closed its airspace due to missile threats, and Kuwait Airways reported that it was reprogramming most flights to and from the capital.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard, however, reinforced its warning that countries hosting US forces should be “prepared to receive a corresponding response”, according to Iranian state television.

Iranian authorities acknowledged that the recent US attacks killed dozens of people and injured hundreds in Iran. The U.S. armed forces, in turn, admitted that several of their military were injured.

The attacks take place at a time when Iran and the US dispute control of the Strait of Ormuz.

Iran has said that the strait must be under its sole control and that ships must pay fees to Tehran.

American President Donald Trump, in turn, again threatened to attack power stations and bridges to try to force Iran to loosen its control over the strait. The US has also restored a naval blockade to Iranian ports to halt their shipments of crude oil.
