“The values sensitive to the situation are suffering,” he pointed out, mentioning tourism (Airbnb -3.93%; Booking -4.21%) and banks (JPMorgan -2.54%; Bank of America -2.61%).

The oil companies benefited from the worsening situation, with Chevron earning 1.11%) and ConocoPhillips 2.10%.

In the technological sector, “the semiconductor values aroused some interest after the losses on the eve,” the analysts of Briefing pointed out. with cases of Nvidia (3.65%), Micron (1.11%) and Broadcom (4.83%).

Furthermore, the disclosure of the minutes of the last meeting of the Federal Reserve Monetary Committee had no relevant impact on the market.

” If any prospective indication can be drawn, the Committee is examining a wide range of scenarios and will not decide without the necessary clarity,” interpreted Jeffrey Roach, chief economist of the Financial LPL.

The market maintains the expectation of an increase in the reference interest rate in September, according to the forecast taken by CME FedWatch.
