ANDafter being convened by the President of the transitional Republic, General Horta Inta-a, to discuss the state of play of the electoral process, Ilídio Vieira Té pointed out the non-compliance with essential legal deadlines and the expiry situation of the bodies of various political parties as the main obstacles.
“ I was summoned by the President of the transitional Republic to address the issue of general elections convened for 6 December of the current year,” said Ilídio Vieira Té, explaining that, in analyzing the level of preparations, the government found that “many parties have the deceased bodies and did not hold their respective conferences for renewal.”.
