DJ Branko participates in the hush! festival in Macau with 40 local bands

O Portuguese DJ João Barbosa, known as Branko, will perform at the hush! beach festival in Macau in November, announced today the organizers.

Branko, a native of Lisbon, became known as part of the Buraka Som Sistema and “creates contemporary music that mixes Angolan and Brazilian rhythms”, according to the organization of the event.

Initiative of the Cultural Institute and the game dealership MGM, the “hush! Concerts on Beach x Festival of Urban Sport Wellness 2026” will take place on November 14th and 15th at Hac Sá beach, in Coloane, Macau.

“ This is already our fourth year of work with the Cultural Institute (IC) and with all the organizations that support us to build a new city in Praia de Hac Sá “, said in a press conference Catarina Lio, responsible for marketing MGM.

According to MGM’s website, the event brings together music stages, urban sports and well-being experiences “in an innovative beach environment, offering residents and visitors a refreshing and multidimensional outdoor cultural and sports platform”.

In addition to yoga and fitness classes, this year's program includes an Afro Dance Party and brings together 40 local bands, including youth and children's bands, as well as over 20 food stands.

The president of the CI, Leong Wai Man, said that the institute gives “great importance” to the event, using it “to gather international resources and establish an exchange platform within the Macau performing arts sector.”.
