GNR holds driver per circular with false registrations in Valongo

A 22-year-old man was arrested in Valongo on suspicion of moving a vehicle with false plates, according to GNR. The action took place during a road inspection at A41.

U22-year-old man was arrested in Valongo, in the district of Porto, on suspicion of moving with a vehicle with false plates, today revealed the National Traffic Unit of GNR. 

 

The man, suspected of the crime of forgery of document, was arrested following a road policing action carried out in the highway access roundabout 41 (A41), in Alfena, in the municipality of Valongo.

In a statement, GNR states that it intercepted and monitored a vehicle with an approximate value of EUR 9,000 and found that it had registration plates corresponding to another vehicle.

The driver was notified to attend the Valongo Judicial Court for enforcement of the coercion measures. The car was seized in a restraining order for judicial inspection to clarify the facts.
