No plane, no car. Bottas goes to Singapore GP by bike

Valtteri Bottas decided to use a bicycle to travel to the Formula 1 Singapore GP, over 300 km between Malaysia and Singapore. Finnish has a passion known for cycling.

Dafter the Bahrain GP in Malaysia, Valtteri Bottas decided to use a different means of transport than usual to go to the destination of the next Grand Prix of Formula 1 - Singapore.

 

The 37-year-old Finnish, who returned to the platoon this year in the service of newcomer Cadillac, gave his passion for cycling and ventured into a all-terrain bike from Sepang to Singapore.

Although it is only a week apart (four days) between the Sunday of the race in Malaysia and the free training of the Singaporean stage, Valtteri Bottas went to the road and rails to complete the more than 300 km between the neighboring territories. But even before you get to the track, you have the press appointments on Thursday, so it's actually only three days apart.

And in the Strava app, Valtteri Bottas is sharing the progress of the trip: on the first day it completed more than 56 km, while on the second day it made almost 162 km over almost six hours. There is now another day to complete the adventure, just over 100 km away.

Valtteri Bottas' connection to cycling is well known, participating in various events and events (in particular in Gravel), as well as considering the modality as part of its physical preparation for Formula 1. It is even one of the co-founders of the gravel cycling tests FNLD GRVL in Finland and RADL GRVL in Australia.
