What happened at the time of the arrest?

According to The Phuket News, the Portuguese woman was approached by the immigration police during an inspection while taking a cooking class at a restaurant in Koh Kaew.

Daniela will not have been able to show the original passport and only presented a photograph of the document. From then on the authorities were able to realize that it had arrived in Thailand in March 2020 on a 30-day visa. This document was extended until 11 January 2021 but, from that date, it was no longer renewed. So Daniela was in an irregular situation in the country five years ago.

The former competitor of the TVI reality show has been arrested and will be deported shortly.
