O President of the Republic today received the governor of Banco de Portugal at the Palace of Belém, at a meeting where he examined “the Portuguese economic situation and the financial system, as well as the role of supervision”.
This information is contained in a note published tonight on the official website of the Presidency of the Republic on the Internet.
“The President of the Republic received, in audience at the Palace of Belém, the governor of Banco de Portugal, Álvaro Santos Pereira, having been analyzed the situation of the Portuguese economy and the financial system, as well as the role of supervision”, reads in the note.
The meeting between António José Seguro and Álvaro Santos Pereira took place on the day the Economic Bulletin of October of Banco de Portugal was released and on the eve of the delivery of the proposal of the State Budget for 2027 of the PSD/CDS-PP Government in the Assembly of the Republic.
