Na meeting with the press in the White House, Trump revealed to have spoken to Netanyahu about the anniversary of the attacks of October 7, 2023, which caused more than 1,200 deaths in Israeli territory and triggered the military offensive in the Gaza Strip.

Trump recalled the “horrible day, the horrible tragedy” of three years ago and said that “the other side” — Hamas and other Palestinian militias — “is paying a huge price for what he did.”.

The American President, Donald Trump, is an ally close to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and both countries started a war against Iran that lasts more than seven months.

Trump set up a Peace Council to resolve conflicts, starting with the Gaza Strip, where the body is working to implement a plan that includes the gradual disarmament of Hamas, the withdrawal of Israeli troops, the sending of an international stabilisation force and the reconstruction of the Palestinian enclave.

Also today, on social media, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance recalled “one of the worst Islamic terrorist attacks” in decades – and paid tribute to the victims.

The U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, today promised that the United States (USA) will not forget “the act of barbarism” of October 7, 2023 against “an ally”, Israel, reaffirming its commitment to “the defense of civilization.”.

In a message published on social network X, Rubio recalled that today “three years have passed since Hamas terrorists tortured, mutilated and murdered 1,200 innocent civilians in Israel,” including “men, women and children, including dozens of Americans.”.

“ We will never forget this act of barbarism against an ally and reaffirm our commitment to the defense of civilization”, wrote the head of American diplomacy, during an official visit to Greece and that Thursday will be in Portugal.

The attacks by Hamas and other allied militias in Israeli territory three years ago took about 1,200 deaths and 251 hostages.

The subsequent Israeli war in the Gaza Strip has so far killed more than 74,200 Palestinians, according to the latest data from the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health, which does not distinguish between civilian victims and combatants of the movement.
