Donald Trump chose a commentator linked to his support base to be his new spokesperson, today indicated a White House leader to AFP.
“The position was proposed to her,” said the agency’s source, under anonymity, referring to Katie Zacharia, a Californian who was already spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, between February and April this year.
Zacharia usually appears on Fox News and Newsmax screens and, according to her personal information on the LinkedIn network, she also collaborates with the communication company linked to Trump, the Trump Media and Technology Group, as well as with her social network, Truth Social.
It is also part of Fix California, founded by a neighbor of Trump, Richard Grenell.
She lived in China for two years between 2011 and 2013, where she worked for a law firm. She's married and has four children.
