A Apple won a new CEO in early September. His name is John Ternus and, until he took over the leadership of the Apple Company, he held the position of senior vice president of Hardware.

This position had already assumed that Ternus would be a CEO especially focused on the design of Apple products and, according to recent rumors, the goal is to accelerate the launch of new products.

Moreover, says the journalist Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, that Ternus is particularly involved in the development of these products.

“ Since becoming CEO, [John Ternus] has been involved in the industrial design and human interface teams”Explains Gurman. “ Several people close to the department say that he works near the studios several times a week, sometimes visiting several times in a single day”.

This importance attributed by Ternus to the design of Apple products is illustrated by a story starring co-founder and ex-CEO Steve Jobs and that was told in the presentation of MacBook Neo at the beginning of the year.

“Steve [Jobs] was moving furniture, a chest with drawers, and pulled it out of the wall and looked at the back, reflecting on the carpenter’s work that made it so beautiful”, told Ternus. “He created the rear to be as beautiful as the rest, even if nobody paid attention to him and I always think about it, because I think he perfectly exemplifies what we do on Apple”.
