A Samsung showed his smart glasses with Android XR operating system in July and, however, has remained silent regarding the launch of this first brand proposal for the product category.
There were even recent rumors that pointed to the launch of these smart glasses for December but, thanks to one of Samsung's partners, we now have more information about Samsung's plans.
Warby Parker – one of the brands selected by Samsung to design smart glasses – announced in the latest presentation of financial results that the pre-sale will start on November 12. The information was shared by co-founder and CEO of Warby Parker, Dave Gilboa, who also advanced that all information on specifications, launch date and prices will be revealed on the same day.
If it is confirmed, it is possible that Samsung's first smart glasses will be ready to reach the stores next December. However, we will have to wait to see if Portugal is included in the launch plans.
It's important to remember that, in addition to Warby Parker (and Gentle Monster), these smart glasses from Samsung were developed in collaboration with Google (responsible for operating system) and Qualcomm, who integrated their Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor into these gadgets.
Smart glasses will be equipped with cameras, microphones and speakers for users to answer calls and listen to music. Furthermore, users will be able to use Gemini as a digital wizard to access Artificial Intelligence features.
