Alentejo 2030
O alentejo 2030 launched a tender notice to support the creation and strengthening of research and development (R&D) skills in companies in the region, with €500,000 in allocation, was announced today.
In a statement, the Alentejo Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) explained that the “SIIDE – Núcleos de R&D (Individual and Co-Promotion)” tender notice is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) at a maximum rate of 50%.
The initiative “includes the specific objective of developing and strengthening research and innovation capabilities and adopting advanced technologies,” he said.
According to the same body, the period of submission of applications for the competition, applicable to all NUTS II Alentejo (Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistical Purposes), is already open and runs until 29 January 2027.
The support, clarified, will serve to “promote the creation of structured and permanent units dedicated exclusively to R&D activities in a business context”.
In this way, it will be possible to contribute to “enhancing the internal capacities of companies and the economic appreciation of knowledge”.
According to the Alentejo CCDR, operations can be developed individually or in co-promotion, “seen in short- and medium-term strategic partnerships and aligned with the priority areas of the Regional Strategy for Intelligent Specialisation (RIS3)”.
Applications are available for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Alentejo 2030 regional operational programme aims, through this warning, to “contribute to a more innovative, competitive and knowledge-intensive regional economy”.
And thus reinforce “the collaboration between companies and entities of the scientific and technological system”, as well as promote “the intelligent specialization of the territory,” said CCDR.
