A the third edition of the Six Kings Slam tennis exhibition tournament was postponed for two months following the attacks of Yemeni Huthis rebels against Saudi Arabia, Saudi organizer Riyadh Season announced today.
Initially scheduled to take place between October 21 and 24, the competition will now take place between December 27 and 30, according to a statement from Riyadh Season released on social network X by Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Turki Alalshikh.
The tournament will feature six tennis players: Spanish Carlos Alcaraz, Serbian Novak Djokovic, German Alexander Zverev, American Taylor Fritz, Australian Alex de Minaur and American Learner Tien.
The Huthis intensified their actions against Saudi Arabia after Riyadh supported the counter-offensive launched by Yemeni government forces, with the aim of expelling rebels from the Red Sea coast and from the northwestern regions of Yemen, which they control since the start of the civil war in 2014.
