Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Rebordosa, in Paredes, today expressed “deep sadness” for the death of one of its firefighters, who participated in a training action in Baltar, pointing out that the circumstances of the accident are under investigation.

Na note of regret published on social networks, the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Rebordosa communicates the death of the firefighter of 25 years, “victim of an accident occurred this morning during a training action”.
“It is with deep sadness and dismay that the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Rebordosa communicates the death of our firefighter Eduardo (...). In this moment of deep pain, let us address our deepest condolences to his family, his friends and all those close to him, as well as to our entire Corporation, which today loses one of its ", reads.
In the publication, the Porto district corporation recalls that the fireman “leaved while carrying out a mission of learning and preparation to better serve others” and refers to later any details about the accident.
“ The circumstances of the accident are still under investigation. Out of respect for the family and all involved, more details will be made available as soon as they are properly established. To the family, to friends and to the whole of our Corporation, our solidarity embrace ", ends.
A 25-year-old fireman from the Voluntary Fire Department of Rebordosa died this morning as he was taking part in a formation that was taking place in the Baltar corporation in the county of Paredes, said source of the League.
“ Circumstances will be cleared and there is still not much that can be said”, Lusa told the Portuguese Firefighters League source.
The agency Lusa tried to obtain more information from the Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of the Porto Metropolitan Area and the region's firefighters, but without success.
The News Journal says the victim will have put himself behind a car, which when I start the march, ran him over.
The young fireman went into cardiorespiratory arrest, but, despite having been assisted by the firefighters and the Emergency and Resuscitation Medical Vehicle (VMER) team of the Sousa Valley, he did not resist the severity of the injuries and the death was declared on site.
The Minister of Internal Affairs also expressed deep sorrow for this death today.
In a statement, in which it is specified that the incident took place in the Local Training Unit, of the National Fire School, based at the headquarters of the Volunteer Firefighters of Baltar, the cabinet of Minister Luís Neves presented “the most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the victim”.
“ In this moment of pain, the minister and his entire team of Internal Administration present the most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the victim, to whom they express all solidarity, extended to the Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Rebordosa”, reads in the note of regret, in which they express “deep sadness”.
