Um 39-year-old man was arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP), last Tuesday, October 6, in Porto Salvo, Oeiras, for being suspected of the practice of the crime of detention of prohibited weapon.
In a statement sent to the essays this Friday, PSP states that, following an investigation that began on July 22, 2026, “after the popular report the occurrence of gun fire in a residential area of the Neighborhood of Navigadores, in Porto Salvo”.
“ The next day, information was received that the defendant had fired the shots, simultaneously uttering threats out loud against those who had denounced the facts to the authorities,” he explains.
After the promotion of the prosecutor (MP), a search warrant was issued and seizure for the residence of the defendant ", explains.
During the course of the action, PSP seized a 12-gauge shotgun and 15 12-gauge ammunition. This authority also found that the weapon “had been stolen in 2007 and that the defendant did not hold any license or weapon registration in his name”.
The defendant was present to the MP of the Comarca de Oeiras on the very day of the arrest, having been applied to him the measure of coercion of Term of Identity and Residence.
