He's fired for assault and he's targeting Alverca:

Mateus Mendes claims that the aggression against an opponent, at the meeting of the Portuguese Championship with Oliveira do Hospital, was motivated by “racist insults”, and regrets that Alverca, who terminated his contract, was not “solidarian”.

Matheists Mendes appealed, at the end of Tuesday night, to social networks to break the silence about the fact that Alverca terminated his contract, following the aggression carried out against an opponent, last weekend, in the defeat suffered by team B, in the Municipal Stadium of Tabua, before the Oliveira do Hospital, by 3-1.

The 24-year-old player now revealed that the episode that stained the meeting of the fifth day of the Portuguese Championship Series 3 (and which earned him the direct red card) was based on “racist insults” that was allegedly targeted, and regrets that the club itself was not able to adopt another kind of posture.

“ After what happened this weekend, I need to go public to explain exactly what happened. Around the 90+4th minute of the match, the rival team athlete uttered several racist insults to me. Phrases of the type ‘Monkey’, ‘dirty Black’ and ‘Back to your land’, among other things. There are witnesses. Many saw, many heard (and all silenced) ", started by writing.

“ I ask, what is the solution to this? Hang in there, make a complaint that would never have a practical result, listen to everyone say that 'is the game' and let another racist walk freely, committing crimes against other blacks like me? Or, who knows, doing a text on Instagram, with beautiful phrases, attacking racists and watching it disappear, after 24 hours, with thousands of 'likes'? Or simply miss, ‘It’s just another one, I’m already used to’, follows the game?”, he continued.

“ Assault is manifested in various forms, and in this case it has been given by racist words and offenses. We cannot use one attitude to justify the other, but, more importantly, we cannot relativize or reduce racist acts that perpetuate themselves. It's more than ten years listening to these same things on football fields, in Brazil and abroad. And also to hear that this is the game, which is part, that is not for evil ", completed.

“Should I remind you that the club’s main shareholder is Vinicius Junior?”

However, the Brazilian goalkeeper did not stick around. He justified the extreme reaction to what he heard with “others’ mistakes”, “crimes” and “because it was the drop of water”: “After all this, the mind can’t stand it, the body can’t stand it, the wrong happens. I apologize to my teammates, but I imagined that a club like Alverca would be minimally more supportive of the cause.”.

“Should I remind you that the club’s main shareholder is Vinicius Junior? What have you suffered in the skin (and on account of your skin) all I have been through this weekend? The irony is in the details, and it's a shame we're still surprised by that. And I hope that what happened lights a warning signal for everyone ", stressed.

“ We're tired of racism. We're tired of xenophobia. We are tired of being daily victims of a crime without guilty, without sentence and without justice. We're tired of racists. That clubs, Leagues and federations around the world understand at once that ‘what happens in the field, cannot stay in the field’, and understand that we are tired’, concluded.
