Danielle Garrote, a 43-year-old luso-brasileria, was beaten to death on February 5th of this year, in Coimbra, by her boyfriend, a TVDE driver, who is awaiting trial in preventive detention.

The man is suspected of inflicting violent physical assaults that led to the death of the woman in the residence where they both lived.

Hours after the assault, the unsub called INEM and said his girlfriend was feeling sick. Suspects were sudden death.

However, he was arrested by the Judiciary Police (JP), after the autopsy on the corpse revealed “many bodily injuries indicting violent death”.

Eight months after the murder new and shocking details now emerge. According to the prosecution of the Public Prosecutor (MP), released by Morning Mail and today featured in the Brazilian press, the man will have beaten Danielle Garrote for more than an hour.

Beats violently girlfriend and leaves her to die in agony

After the violent assaults, the TVDE driver showered his girlfriend, laid her in bed in agony and went to work. You took the victim's cell phone to make sure this one didn't call for help.

Only hours later, the unsub called the EMN. Both the victim's older daughter and the rescue media said she felt bad. By the time the authorities got to the scene, Danielle was already dead.

The autopsy revealed the crime. Danielle, who left three orphan children, had “multiple head injuries”.

The same document shows that the Portuguese-Brazilian woman already suffered domestic violence before the crime and the situation was known to the neighbors who even recorded violent episodes. However, they never filed a complaint.

At the time of the suspect's arrest, PJ revealed that the defendant was so jealous that he forced the victim to always serve him on video, to find out where and with whom he was. He was searching his girlfriend’s phone for suspicious messages and calls and was still “fomenting economic dependence”.

The trial of the only suspect of the crime begins soon at the Coimbra Court. The defendant will answer for the crime of murder - which provides for a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison - as well as for the practice of a crime of domestic violence and another offense to qualified physical integrity, for assaulting a PJ inspector.
