Umr. Man of Portuguese nationality invaded, on Friday night, day 2, the house of the former companion, in a small village in Catalonia, Spain. After holding her hostage for several hours, under threat of death, she will have fled the roofs of the adjacent buildings towards Andorra.
The suspect will have passed hours and threatened the dying woman with a knife. His goal, as he verbally stated to the victim, according to the local press, was not to leave the house until the arrival of the woman's current companion, who also intended to kill.
The nightmare of the former companion did not end until Saturday morning, when an official of an alarm company went to the dwelling and, when he realized the situation in which the woman was, immediately alerted the authorities, avoiding the fatal outcome.
Upon realizing the presence of the police, the man escaped through the roofs of the neighboring buildings. They also reveal the local newspapers that Portuguese was already known in the city for its aggressiveness.
A large contingent of the Mossos d’Esquadra was mobilized at 11:20 on Saturday to the center of La Seu d’Urgell to locate the man. The proximity to Andorra led the Catalan police to inform the Andorran police about the situation, given the possibility that the suspect escaped to the principality.
As for the victim, he was injured and had to be taken to the hospital, but he's out of danger.
On the other hand, the police operation continues, attempting to capture the fugitive.
