O FC Porto has already reached an agreement for the renewal of contract with William Gomes until June 2031, says Fabrizio Romano this Thursday. The Brazilian extreme will be ‘armored’ by a clause of EUR 100 million.

The same Italian journalist also assures that the blue and white direction, led by André Villas-Boas, refused several offers last summer, coming from top European clubs, to hold William Gomes in the squad at Francesco Farioli's orders.

At the age of 20, the natural player of Aracaju, Sergipe, prepares to see formalized the new link to the blue and white, extending his stay for another two years (from 2029 to 2031).

Hired a year and a half ago, in January 2025, to São Paulo, in exchange for nine million euros, William Gomes signed a first half of the season without great spark (a goal in 11 games), but stated himself definitely in the Dragon after Farioli's arrival in the technical command.

The extreme canarinho ‘blew’ in 2025/26, helping FC Porto to win the title of national champion with quite significant numbers: 13 goals and two assists in 46 games. Some of the attempts pointed out ran around the world, as was the case of the one who scored against Sporting at the José de Alvalade Stadium.

In this new era, William Gomes continues to maintain the good form, accounting for two goals and so many assists in a total of nine games, and being a key part in the attack mounted by Farioli – he has been a holder in all the matches held so far by FC Porto.
