The Judiciary Police (PJ) are investigating the causes of the fire that caused an explosion in a Montijo villa and caused a dead and a serious injury, told Lusa source of that police force.

Sthe same source, the death victim is the son of the woman who suffered serious injuries and was transported to Barreiro Hospital.
According to the Subregional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of the Setúbal Peninsula, the fire occurred in a two-story villa, and not in a first floor building as it was first reported, in José Joaquim Marques Street, in the Montijo district of Setúbal.
Civil Protection further points out that the fire warning was given at 09:16, and the fire was considered extinct at 9:31.
For the site, 29 operatives were mobilized, from the Volunteer Fire Department of Montijo, National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), PSP and Judiciary Police, supported by 10 vehicles.
