Candidate Flávio Bolsonaro leads the partial count in the Brazilian presidential elections, with 49.58% of the votes, followed by the current President, Lula da Silva, with 42.25%, when 64.81% of the sections are counted.

The first numbers of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) began to be released as soon as the polls closed.
Voting machines closed today at 5 p.m. (21.00 in Lisbon) in Brazil in a highly polarized general election between Brazilian President Lula da Silva and Flávio Bolsonaro, Senator and eldest son former head of state Jair Bolsonaro.
If none of the presidential candidates obtain more than 50% of the valid votes, the two most voted will face each other in a second round on October 25.
