The fire in a building in Rio Tinto, in the county of Gondomar, which was evacuated today, left 20 people homeless and caused minor injuries to a firefighter, who was transported to the hospital, Lusa told the commander of the local firefighters.

Dand according to the commander of the volunteer firefighters of Areosa - Rio Tinto, Marco Martins, about 7.45 p.m. the fire was already in the rescheduling phase, having caused 20 displaced and slight injuries in a firefighter.
According to the former mayor of Gondomar, of the 20 homeless, 18 concern residents of the burning building, and two were removed as a precaution because they resided in adjacent buildings.
Marco Martins added that six people found overnight solutions by their own means, and 14 were referred to the municipal civil protection services.
The injured fireman was transported to Santo António Hospital in Porto.
There's still a record of a cat's death.
A building in Rio Tinto was evacuated today following a fire on one floor, Lusa was told sources of fire and civil protection.
The alert was issued at 4:58 and the building was evacuated. On site were 27 operatives and 12 vehicles in the firefight.
The three-story building is located at 114 on the street of Cavada Nova, in Rio Tinto, in the municipality of Gondomar (district of Porto).
