ANDthis Monday marked the last day of the fourth round of the League of Nations group phase and this break for the international commitments of the European teams, there were several meetings that had to be held, with France hosting Belgium and Italy facing Turkey, in League A group 1.
Starting with the meeting held at the Stade de France, where an impressive turnaround took place from 0-1 to 4-1, France – without Kylian Mbappé – was forced to resort to heavy weapons to save the three points before the Belgians.
This is because they even began to lose the match with a goal in the first part, pointed out by Benfiquiquist Dodi Lukebakio at 35 minutes, in a perfect demarcation of the extreme of Belgium, which shot counting to beat the Restes goalkeeper.
Zinedine Zidane's revolution came in at 60 minutes, giving Olise and Cherki half an hour to change the outcome of another game without winning for former Real Madrid on Gaul soil, and that's exactly what they started to do, as Désiré Doué also entered the field 12 minutes later.
It was even the Paris Saint-Germain advance who began the twist on the scorer, with a goal scored five minutes after entering the lawn, with assistance from the newly entered Lucas da Cunha. Now, the straight shot to the draw ‘lighted the fire’ of the French team, as, just four minutes later, Michael Olise watched Cherki for the reassembled one, but did nothing to predict what would follow in the Stade de France.
This is because, at 88 and 90+1 minutes, it was the turn of Doué to serve Olise double, with artistic note to combine, to the extreme of Bayern Munich bisar in the match, with two beautiful finishes, to party benches and Zidane, while Mark van Bommel despaired in the bench of red devils.
With this result, France succeeds in the first place of the group, being closely followed by Italy, which also won, with seven points. As far as Belgium is concerned, it is not drawn from the fight for qualification to the final quarter of the League of Nations, since it adds up to six points and there are still two meetings to be played by each of the teams.
Italy sinks (even more) Turkey
The azzurra squad received the Turkish class in Bologna in an attempt to overcome Belgium. He even achieved this after a 3–1 win, with the goals to be scored by Gianluca Scamacca, at 35 minutes, by Calafiori, at 64 minutes, and by Francesco Esposito already close to the end, at 87 minutes of play.
Turkey is thus left with zero points in four journeys, and is practically decommissioned from the League. A and having the sentence almost confirmed to play in League B in the next edition.
