George Clooney reacts to the death of Cindy Crawford's son: “The worst thing”

George Clooney is one of Cindy Crawford's best friends and her husband, Rande Gerber, who is also her partner. The actor showed solidarity from the first minute after hearing about the death of the couple's eldest son, 27-year-old Presley Gerber, on suspicion of overdose. 

In statements to Entertainment Tonight, the actor spoke about the tragedy that plagued his friends.

“ To be honest, it's one of the most devastating things that's ever happened to our family. And their family is exactly as you can imagine. It’s the worst thing that could happen to a family”he confessed.

Presley, remember, was the only son of Rande and Crawford, who were married in 1998. The couple also have a daughter, Kaia Gerber.

Kaia had already talked about his brother's struggle against the addition before his death. A month before the young man died, she revealed: “When something like this happens in a family, it puts us all on the same level,” he explained.

Presley Gerber said publicly: “Having struggled with mental health problems, depression and some other things that have been associated with it. I think, whether you help a person or a hundred people get out of that place where I was at some point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” he confessed in podcast “Studio 22”.

“[Men’s health] is an important issue. It's such a significant part of my life. It is a job 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and involves a lot”, he added. “That’s exactly what I want to do: help people whether they are depressed or struggling with something that is having a negative effect on their body. I mean, it can be anything, and there is no judgment.”

“ I've seen a lot of things and learned a lot. What I hope I can do is I have made the mistakes for other people, so that they do not have to make the same mistakes that I made”, she shared at the time.
