“ Dand according to the data established until 12h00′′ AIMA “registered a strike membership of 11,31%, corresponding to 94 workers, in a total universe of 831 workers,” said the Agency Lusa source of the agency.

According to the agency, “citizens who had service scheduled for today at the Stores that are closed will be informed in due time, through the email address associated with their schedule, of the new date of service, and no additional initiative is required from you.

The STM called for a strike today, after not having received any response to the urgent request for a guardianship meeting, to discuss increases and the creation of a technical career.

“ The decision arises in a context of internal instability in the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA), marked by the exit of the president of the institution and the absence of progress in negotiations on the creation of a technical career of its own and the award of a remuneration supplement equivalent to that recognized to GNR and PSP ", says the STM, in a statement.

For the STM, “these demands are long-identified structural needs, which involve the enhancement of technical migration functions, the recognition of their specificity and complexity, and the equalization of remuneration to other entities that perform border control functions”.

The union also criticizes what it considers to be “the increasing transfer of permanent tasks from the State to the Local Support Centers for the Integration of Migrants (CLAIM)” and calls for “clear limits to these functions and the safeguarding of AIMA’s nuclear powers, whose devaluation has led to late, ill-educated and legally fragile decisions, increasing litigation and pressure on workers”.

The STM also advocates “the appreciation of the career of migration technicians, including structured initial training, formal recognition of specialized functions and the urgent appointment of leadership with experience in the area of migration, capable of ensuring stability and technical knowledge in the direction” of the agency.
