Uthe police wounded and at least two people arrested are the most tense day in 17 of the camp in Puerta del Sol, after several radical groups tried to tumult the demonstration against the crisis in housing.

The problems began when, at the end of the National Day parade, a group of people with Spanish flags, some of them unconstitutional, went to Puerta del Sol and surrounded the campers present two weeks ago, shouting “Ceuta is not sold” and “Cara in the sun”.

According to the Spanish news agency EFE one of the campees, there were “aggressions and provocations”, which required the intervention of the National Police, which held the arrest of some people.

After two hours of chanting, the National Police dispersed the protesters, who did not stop insulting the campers, as well as the press: “Fucking press, fuck off, manipulators, motherfuckers,” they told the cameras.

Among other songs, they sang: “Dead red, fertilizer for my garden” or “Red that I see, red that I kick”.

Tensions continued in the afternoon, with both sides in confrontation on the streets near the square, to the extent that the camp organizers asked for help on social networks afraid of being attacked.

According to EFE Metro security sources, for some time all access to this service and that of Cercanias, located in Puerta del Sol, were closed at the request of the police, but they have already reopened at the beginning of the night.

One of the greatest moments of tension lived just before six o'clock in the street of El Carmen, where, after several runs and bottles, the police stopped a young woman.

After 19:30, the situation got complicated and strengthened the National Police personnel in the area, which were advancing their positions so that the people who wanted to enter the Sun would retreat, towards Callao Square.

Although the security forces controlled the episode, the hostile environment and the chants continued in the distance, while the riot forces pushed the two groups away, which continued to chant ‘slogans’ as “Madrid will be the grave of fascism”, on one side, or “dead red, fertilizer into my backyard”, on the other.

Throughout the afternoon, groups of protesters with Spanish flags, some of them unconstitutional, approached Puerta del Sol, where since September 26 there has been a camp to denounce the housing situation in Spain.

From the street Alcalá or Espoz y Mina, the closest to this morning's parade, to Arenal or Preciados, the protesters surrounded the square, unable to access it due to the strong police presence.

According to sources from the Commission for Mediation of the Sun protest, the protesters confronted the campers, who formed a security cordon around the entire perimeter of the tents to protect them.
