A man of foreign nationality was accused of abusing his girlfriend's daughter in Silves, Algarve. The girl told what was happening to a schoolmate, who ended up reporting the situation.

A Judiciary Police arrested a 44-year-old man for the alleged authorship of five crimes of sexual abuse against his girlfriend's daughter in the Algarve.
The sexual offender cohabited with the 11-year-old child, and the crimes were committed between April 2025 and April this year, in a residence in Silves.
According to PJ's statement, the suspect always took advantage of the absence of the child's mother or the fact that she was in another division of the house, to approach the victim, practicing prominent sexual acts, then keeping her silent by offering gifts.
The child, already angry and traumatized, eventually denounced the abuse in August this year to a schoolmate, who in turn told her parents. The latter alerted the school and the mother of the child, and the facts were communicated to the Judicial Police, which initiated an investigation to ascertain the veracity of the facts.
The prisoner is a foreign citizen, a professional vigilante, who has just been arrested out of flagrant offense. The girl's mother put an end to the relationship as soon as she learned what happened.
The man will be present the first judicial interrogation for the application of appropriate coercion measures.
