Um 35-year-old man was arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP), on September 30, to fulfill arrest warrant out of flagrant offense, issued by Judicial Authority. The prisoner is “strongly indicted” for the practice of five theft crimes.
In a statement, the PSP states that “in the course of an intense and methodical analysis of the crimes against property that have plagued the population of the parishes of Areeiro, Campo Grande, São Jorge de Arroios and Avenidas Novas, the existence of five home thefts, perpetrated under threat and coercion” was found.
During the investigation, the PSP was able to identify and intercept the suspect, having arrested him and seized a mobile phone and 215.25 euros in cash.
The suspect, “already with a vast history of serious and violent crimes, particularly in the context of property crimes, and even with convictions of effective imprisonment”, was present the first Judicial Interrogatory, and was decreed the most serious measure of coercion, that of preventive imprisonment.
