A 29-year-old man was arrested by the PSP for domestic violence after assaulting and trying to steal a woman from Vila Franca de Xira Hospital. The suspect, who was initiating psychiatric follow-up in the unit, was subject to the measure of coercion of identity and residence term.

U29-year-old man was arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP), last September 29, for the crime of domestic violence, after assaulting a woman in the Hospital Vila Franca de Xira.
In a statement, sent this Tuesday to the editorials, PSP explained that the agents were “requested by the security team of the Hospital de Vila Franca de Xira to go to the entrance of Psychiatry”.
On the spot, the police found the victim “in a state of great emotional agitation” and, according to reports from the vigilantes, the woman had been pushed by the suspect who intended to remove “the suitcase from her shoulder, throwing it then from Floor 1 to Floor 0”.
“ After the victim recovered the suitcase, the suspect also tried to punch him in the reception zone, an act arrested by the security team, which held him abroad until police intervention ", said the PSP.
The victim explained to the security force that he welcomed the suspect by court order since childhood and explained that he has “a history of violent behavior”.
On the day of the murder, the woman went to the hospital, where the suspect had initiated follow-up on the same day, to question him about the disappearance of a credit card. It ended up being assaulted and robbed.
The victim expressed intent to proceed criminally and the attending physician at the scene confirmed that the suspect was being followed, but was “perfectly attributable.” In this sense, a voice of detention was given.
The prisoner was arrested and after presentation of the first judicial interrogation, the measure of coercion of Identity and Residence Term was applied.
