A man suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a tiger at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in northern England during the afternoon of Saturday. The police confirmed the incident and assured that there is no risk to the general public.

Meanwhile, the police detailed that he was called to the site at 1:35 p.m. after a man entered tiger space in Yorkshire Wildlife Park and was subsequently attacked, eventually suffering serious injuries.
There were also ambulances and emergency services and visitors were removed from the site.
The South Yorkshire police say that they are working to “notify the victim’s family” and asked the public not to share the video footage of the attack “which is circulating online.”.
“The tiger remained in the enclosure after the incident and there is no risk to the general public,” the authorities said.
Witnesses refer to the Yorkshire Post that a black belt was placed around the enclosure where two Siberian tigers live after the incident. According to reports, gunshots were heard prior to the evacuation of the zoo.
