A fire that broke out today in an agricultural warehouse in São Pedro, in the municipality of Miranda do Douro, caused “large damage” between agricultural tractors, tailors and animal feed, said source of Civil Protection.

ANDm statements to the agency Lusa, the sub-regional commander of the Lands of Trás-os-Montes, João Noel Afonso, said that at the arrival of the firefighters, the warehouse was already completely taken by the flame and inside were agricultural tractors, machinery, tailors, feed and other equipment, which means “in large losses” which is not yet possible to quantify.
“ They are very big losses, because we are talking about a lot of agricultural machinery, animal feed and many straw rolls among other equipment”, the commander said.
According to João Noel Afonso, the recalculation work of this fire will be prolonged for a long time, since it is necessary to remove and remove all the fuel material from the warehouse, as is the case with straw.
The alert was issued at 1:45.
According to the official website of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, at 15:50 p.m., 37 firefighters were on site supported by 16 vehicles from Miranda do Douro and Sendim corporations in Bragança district.
