Airanian authorities today threatened to destroy data centers of Artificial Intelligence (IA) and submarine cables in the Persian Gulf if U.S. attacks were resumed, stressing that the United States “has very valuable assets” in the Strait of Ormuz.
Iran’s head of the National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, stated in statements released by Press TV that “these extremely valuable assets were not included among the targets to attack” in the past, but warned that this could change.
“ If this war is resumed, many of these cables and data centers, as well as artificial intelligence facilities, will be destroyed,” he said before describing these targets as part of “the pulse of the US economy in the region.”.
These assets are worth more than 2 billion dollars [1,7 billion euros to the current exchange rate],” he noted, stating that Iran is “absolutely prepared to deploy new capabilities in the event of an American attack.”.
In this regard, Rezaei pointed out that Tehran “has not yet shown all its letters”.
“ We did this to have a plan B, if necessary. If there is another confrontation, we will present to the enemy a much more comprehensive plan”, he concluded.
Some U.S. media advanced last week that the Department of Defense (Pentagon) has plans for new military operations against Iran, but US President Donald Trump withdrew this hypothesis on Thursday before the mid-term elections in the United States, scheduled for November 3.
The war began on 28 February, with the launch of a joint offensive by the United States and Israel against Iran, to which Tehran responded with attacks on the region and the blockade of the Strait of Ormuz.
