A 28-year-old man was arrested by the Judiciary Police (JP) in Lisbon, suspected of raping a woman in the middle of the street after she presented him with a telecommunications service. The victim filed a complaint with the authorities after being assisted at Santa Maria Hospital.

A Judicial Police (JP) arrested a 28-year-old foreign citizen in Lisbon who suspected the practice of a rape crime in the middle of the public.
In a statement sent this Thursday, October 8, to News to Minutes, the inspectors reveal that “the investigation began on October 2,” after the victim filed a complaint at the police station of the Hospital de Santa Maria (PSP).
The steps taken at that time made it possible to ascertain “the existence of strong evidence of the practice of a rape crime”.
According to the Judiciary, sexual assault occurred after a “short interaction” between suspect and victim, when this “engaged residential clients for telecommunications services”.
After this contact, the aggressor “accompanied the victim outside the building” and forwarded it to an isolated place. In the immediate vicinity, “in full public way”, the man consumed the rape.
At one point, PJ is still ahead, the woman was able to free herself and ask passers-by who were in an artery near the site.
The arrestee was, however, already present the first judicial interrogation at the Court of Loures, and it was applied the measures to ban contacts with the victim and periodic biweekly presentations.
