Verstappen, who had not won since Abu Dhabi in 2025, beat the Italian Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), for 2,307 seconds, with the British Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) in third, to 4,919.
With these results and the withdrawal of the British George Russell (Mercedes) at five laps of the end with motor problems, Antonelli strengthened the command of the World Cup, now having 84 points of advantage over the teammate.
