Minor located in Portugal after father denounce “kidnap” in Brazil

A 14-year-old teenager was located in Portugal after her father, Thales Farias, mayor of the Brazilian city of Colonel Ezequiel, reported that she had been kidnapped. Minor will have come to a 21-year-old man he met through social media.

The report of the disappearance was made by the father to the Brazilian authorities, with Thales Faria talking about the situation also on social networks. On Facebook, the mayor of this city of Rio Grande do Norte published a first video when  

“My daughter Sophia was kidnapped through the use of the internet on Instagram, [by] a ‘fake’. They managed to get her to Portugal, she is already in the country. The federal police are already on top”He began by saying, realizing that he would also come to Portugal. The responsible also left an appeal for all parents to be careful with similar situations and the use of internet: “Be careful.”.

To the first video, published on the afternoon of Monday [hours of Portugal], followed a second, already at the beginning of the early hours of Tuesday, in which the mayor explains how everything happened. According to what counts, it was early on Monday [end of Sunday night in Portugal], who realized that her daughter was not in her room. “We were worried,” he pointed out, realizing that the authorities were soon called.

“They saw the Uber that took it [...]. Our daughter was found to have landed in Lisbon, Portugal. That was our concern. We thought it was only here at Christmas that she had gone out, for a date, something”, recalled, reinforcing that it is necessary to “fiscalize” children more with regard to social networks. “We were concerned about human trafficking, organs [...]. She's fine now. He is already at the police station in Lisbon”.

Second advanced this Tuesday to SIC Notícias, the minor embarked on a TAP flight that arrived in Lisbon around 3:50 on Monday. O News to Minutes asked TAP about the situation, even asking about the type of mention that may have been made on the passport and whether the legal procedures have been complied with. “ TAP passenger lists and identities are protected by strict confidentiality duties, we have no comment on the subject.”, responded to TAP.

The minor will have flown to Portugal to meet a 21-year-old Portuguese who will have known through TikTok and with whom he also kept contact from Instagram, social network referred by the adolescent's father.

According to SIC Notícias, the minor also recorded an audio where she claimed she had no intention of returning to Brazil. “I am better here than there. I'll just come back, maybe, next year ", you will have said. The station spoke to the young man in question, identified as Mario, who said that “everything is just a misunderstanding”, but gave no further details.

In Portugal, the complaint to the authorities was filed by the aunt of the child yesterday afternoon. After diligence, the Public Security Police will have delivered the minor to a family member, an uncle, already early this Tuesday morning.
