Tyoung males – two of them under the age of 15 – were arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP), last Tuesday, in the parish of Carnide, in Lisbon, for being suspected of the practice of a robbery crime, committed on the public road using a dagger with 23 cm blade.
It all happened at 11 p.m., when the three suspects approached the victim, “and under threat from a dagger, stole items worth 75 euros, then fled.”.
In a statement sent this Saturday to the newsrooms, the PSP reports that, after the alert, a criminal investigation team collected relevant data and initiated investigations to, after a few minutes, locate the suspects still on the same street. All three of them ended up being arrested on the scene.
The stolen items were all recovered, seized and then delivered to the victim.
Also according to the PSP, the large dagger “was seized to the adult, who carried it to the waist”.
In the course of the investigations, the officers also found that this 16-year-old suspect “was fleeing from a host institution”.
Thus, and after the first judicial interrogation was present, it was applied the mandatory stay coercion measure in the host institution from which it fled. Now it will be controlled by electronic bracelet.
The two under 15 years of age were present at the Family and Minor Court, and one of them, by determination of the competent court, collected from an institution. The second was delivered to the mother.
