Iran’s oil minister, Mohsen Paknejad, resigned, announced today the Iranian President’s office, Massoud Pezeshkian, who decreed that the director of the National Petroleum Company should replace him temporarily.

“ Nthe sequence of acceptance of Mohsen Paknejad's resignation, Hamid Bord, director-general of the Iranian National Petroleum Company, was appointed Minister of Interim Petroleum by presidential decree ", indicates Massoud Pezeshkian's office in a statement issued by Irib public television and quoted by the agency France-Presse (AFP).
The resignation takes place in a context where long queues have regularly been formed in the country's service stations since the start of the Middle East war.
