O israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today during a visit to an Air Force base that Israel has “ability to attack” enemies at any time, a few days from the legislative elections of October 27.

“ We have the preparation, determination and ability to attack our enemies as soon as this becomes necessary. Our enemies will suffer harder blows than those who have suffered so far,” Netanyahu said in a video message recorded on a military basis whose name has not been released.

Since the attack of the Palestinian Islamist Hamas movement on Israeli territory on 7 October 2023, which sparked the war in the Gaza Strip, Israel has fought on several fronts, including Lebanon, Hezbollah, supported by Tehran, and also Iran.

“Do not put us to the test,” Netanyahu stressed, who also stated that during the visit he spoke to the base commander and said he was “impressed” with the capabilities to “attack enemies when necessary.”.

“ We are all aware of the enormous successes that we have achieved, thanks to our courageous pilots and air crews, ground personnel, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) and the Israeli Government. We're determined to defend ourselves. Do not put us to the test”, insisted.

Netanyahu's statements arise in a context of tension in the Middle East, due to the conflict triggered by the February offensive, together with the United States, against Iran, and the exchange of warnings between Washington and Tehran on a possible resumption of hostilities, due to the lack of concrete progress in the negotiating process.

In this context, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi warned the President of the United States, Donald Trump, that Tehran also has “uncompleted work” and accused Netanyahu of “pushing” Washington to “another war” to “not go to prison” due to the trials that are under way for alleged corruption.
