O israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today that the partnership with Trump “will continue with the aim of eliminating the Iranian threat”, following a message of support from the US President for the legislation of October 27.
“ We crushed Iran, crushed the Iranian axis and pushed away the immediate threat” from the Iranian nuclear program, and “our partnership (...) will continue with the aim of eliminating the Iranian threat in the next two years, or even earlier,” Netanyahu said, calling on voters to “listen” Donald Trump and vote for themselves.
The President of the United States of America (USA) today expressed “total and unconditional support” to Netanyahu in the legislative, saying that if the current Prime Minister is not re-elected, America will be alone in the war against Iran, a position Netanyahu thanked.
Donald Trump stated, in a message published on the social network Truth Social nine days from the election, that “Bibi Netanyahu has been a great Prime Minister, warrior and an even greater partner for peace in the fight against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”.
Netanyahu’s main rival, Gadi Eisenkot, reacted by saying that “only the Israelites can choose their leader.”.
During a conference in Tel Aviv, Eisenkot said that he “admires the American President,” but stressed that “Israel is a democratic country” and that only voters will choose the next Prime Minister.
