The most comprehensive index, Topix, which includes companies in the main sector, those with higher capitalization, increased 1.33%, or 54.22 points, to 4,145.22 units.
The rise in the Tokyo market occurred after Wall Street closed last week on high, following a slight increase in the unemployment rate in the United States in September, which decreased expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) would increase interest rates again at the next meeting.
On a geopolitical level, during the weekend, Tehran stated that it is examining Washington's latest proposal through Qatar, while the Iranian Army reported on a program to increase the range of its missiles.
In the semiconductor sector, Disk and Tokyo Electron fired 5.71% and 5.5% respectively.
The SoftBank telecommunications and investment group, one of the world's largest AI investors, valued 2.96%, and the robotics and AI Fanuc grew by 1.83%.
However, the Japanese manufacturer of Kioxia memories recorded a fall of 0.93% and Fujikura fell by 0.57%, although both began the session on positive ground.
The country's leading vehicle manufacturer, Toyota, recorded a 1.3% increase, while the rival, Honda, rose by 0.72%.
Japan's main bank, the MUFG, has advanced 2%. Sony, a benchmark in the electronics and entertainment sector, recorded a fall of 0.8%, and the Japanese video game company Nintendo recorded a fall of 1.36%.
