Nlast year, it was presented the new Renault Twingo E-Tech – a modern and 100 percent electric reinterpretation of the historical french small city whose origins date back to 1993.

It recovered traces of the original – from silhouette to shapes, passing through the sliding backseat – while proposing a modern, jovial and fun design.

Now, the model will win a panoramic roof – the Twingobay. Announced this Tuesday (6 October), it will make its public debut next week during the Paris Motor Show in France.

The roof has oval shape and is made in glass with multi-layer technology. It is able to filter 99.9 percent of ultraviolet radiation and block most infrared radiation. Its surface is 0.7 square meters, allowing the passenger compartment to have more natural light.

This new option for Renault Twingo E-Tech will reach the market “in the coming weeks” for 550 or 600 euros depending on the country – information available in the international press release.

It's not news for a Twingo

Although it is a new addition to the Twingo E-Tech, their ancestors also had proposals with panoramic roof – either the original (including with opening roof) or the first electric Twingo.

And last year, the prototype of the current Twingo E-Tech was presented with a panoramic roof very similar to the one that now reaches the serial production options.
