David Silva returns to active duty three years after retiring

Manchester City's former 40-year-old David Silva signed for the Hong Kong Supreme Sha Tin three years after he ended his career due to an injury.

O manchester City’s former player announced the change through social media, expressing himself “very happy” by starting this new experience and anticipating the trip to Hong Kong.

 

“ I am very happy to join Supreme Sha Tin in this experience and I look forward to going to Hong Kong, enjoying the culture of the people and the gastronomy of Sha Tin”, said the natural footballer of Gran Canaria.

On the same social network, the club recently promoted to the first level of Hong Kong confirmed the hiring, ensuring that the agreement was made after the player had performed medical examinations.

“A total madness!”, wrote Supreme Sha Tin, who promised to disclose more details about the hiring of Spanish international.

David Silva had completed his career in 2023, at age 37, due to a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament after three seasons at Real Sociedad.

Before, the champion of the world in 2010 and two European champions in 2008 and 2012, who had excelled in Valencia, had won four English Leagues, five English League Cups, two England Cups and so many other Super Cups in the 10 seasons.
