O Uruguay ended, on the afternoon of Tuesday, the commitments in this break for the selection games with a win on the visit to India, by six balls to one, in a duel that counted with a team of Sporting in highlighted plan.
After the defeat against Japan, which marked Diego Forlán's debut on the celestial team's bench of alternates, and the victory in South Korea's home, South Americans headed to Calcutta to compete for this particular in the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, known as Salt Lake Stadium. The team of Sporting Rodrigo Zalazar and Maxi Araújo was the holder and was in evidence plan.
And it didn't take many minutes for the marker to touch Indian soil. At the 11th minute, and from the 11 meter mark, former Benfica Darwin Núñez tricked the Indian goalkeeper and threw the penalt into the bottom of the Asian nets.
Shortly after, at 18 minutes, the Uruguayans were very close to signing the second afternoon try and a play involving the two Sporting players in the field. After receiving Rodrigo Zalazar's ball, Maxi Araújo shot first at the goal iron.
The response from India came a few days after this moment of frisson. Following an incomplete defense of the goalkeeper, Anirudh Thapa took the best advantage and only had to pull over for the draw on the 22nd minute. Almost immediately, the departure was interrupted by a thunderstorm.
On the return of the meeting after a break of about 40 minutes, Maxi Araújo relocated Uruguay to the advantage of the 28th minute. In the second part, the duo Leonina again did damage, with Rodrigo Zalazar making a big goal at the entrance of the area, at the 53rd minute, with assistance from Darwin Núñez, again scoring for the celestial more than three years later.
Six minutes later, at 59 minutes, Maxi Araújo reached the encore. Viñas launched the colleague, who, in an effort, managed to reschedule in the match, he who had already marked Japan and watched in front of South Korea.
Already without Zalazar in the field, Uruguay would end up closing the round with straight shots of Juan Sanabria (71 minutes), which corresponded to the crossing of Pellistri with great first shot, before Rodrigo Aguirre (86 minutes) receive the ball at the entrance of the area and shoot in bow to the bottom of the nets, with the ball entering the top left angle of the Indian goal.
In addition, the ownership of Rodrigo Zalazar and Maxi Araújo can cause problems to Rui Borges, since Sporting moves to Braga in three days, Friday, for the eighth day of the Portuguese championship, being almost certain that Uruguayans should only arrive in Portugal on Wednesday, two days from the match.
