Pepa points out difficulty of the Amadora Star in visiting Arouca

Amateura’s Star coach Pepa admitted that the change of coach in Arouca “difficults” what the team can “find”, but “does not change the focus” in the meeting of the eighth day of the I Football League.

“ Mcoaching in Arouca made it difficult for us to find, but not in our main focus, which is our team, in the situations we have identified and that we have been insisting, improving and growing ", confessed.

Pepa said that Vasco Seabra had a “very deep knowledge” of the Aroucense squad, the result of the three seasons at the team’s ‘leme’, and that when it is so “players play with their eyes closed”.

However, he warned that even if Arouca “do not lose his ideas, there will be changes”, praising the ‘wolves’ who say they are making “a great championship” and who deserve “total respect”, now with Victor Severino in the technical command.

Pepa revealed that the break for selections was a “new” for the “tricolors” for the number of players who ‘lost’, which resulted in a “partido” group, but allowed “to know” young athletes.

“ It's new to have so many players on the team, and it's great, but there are also less good things: the group was broken. But I like to look at the positive things: we took advantage of meeting the players of the sub-23, their profile, their personality and having them integrated with us 100% was beneficial,” said the 45-year-old coach.

The Amadora Star lost on the last journey of the I League (2-0, in front of the Viseu Academic), in a game played three weeks ago. Pepa said that “it’s too long without competing” and said that “he liked to have played right after” to defeat, warning that the team “can’t stop being a Star”.

“ It's too long without competing, it was planned and we have to adapt. I wish I had played right after the Scholar of Viseu, it was not possible to ‘cut evil by the root’ because there were many players out. [...] It happened, but we have the spirit well vindicated that we can win, lose or stall, but we cannot stop being Star: aggressive and irreverent ", highlighted.

The Amadora Star, ninth ranked, with 10 points, visits Arouca, sixth, with 11, on Sunday, with the start of the game at the Arouca Municipal Stadium scheduled for 20:30 and arbitration of Luís Filipe, of the Lisbon association.
