Othree arrested at Madeira International Airport with about 123,000 doses of heroin and cocaine were in custody today after hearings at the judicial headquarters, said the president of the Madeira District.
In statements to the Lusa agency, Teresa Sousa indicated that the defendants, two men and one woman, aged between 38 and 53, are indicted for the practice of drug trafficking.
The arrest, according to the statement issued by the Judicial Police (JP) on Thursday, took place in flagrante delicto, and the defendants were caught with 11.7 kilograms of heroin and 1,174 kilograms of cocaine concealed in their luggage.
According to PJ, the drug seized was sufficient for 117,000 individual doses of heroin and 5.870 cocaine in the illicit market.
