Othe Social Democratic parties, The Left and the Greens agreed today to make negotiations for the formation of a coalition government of the Mecklenburg-Anteponia State, where in September the far right won the regional elections.
After two weeks of preliminary contacts, the representatives of the three paridos recommended to their summits that formal negotiations be initiated, the NDR said.
The Social Democrats lead the current government, in coalition with the conservatives of the CDU, headed by its regional leader Manuela Schwesig, and obtained 29 seats of deputies in the last elections.
The Left got five seats, as many as The Greens.
Despite Schwesig's popularity, the Alternative to Germany (AfD) imposed itself on its party, with 38.2%, counts the 35.5% of the Social Democrats, but without obtaining an absolute majority, by electing 32 representatives to a parliament that has 71 seats.
The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) of Chancellor Friedrich Merz was left out of the future parliament, having only 4.9% of the votes, something that had never happened since its founding.
They also left the Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW), with 4.8%, and the Liberal Party, with one percent.
From October 20th, the PSD, The Left and The Greens have four weeks to form government.
